Felipe Lozano

I am Felipe Lozano, and I am currently a Computer Engineering major enrolled in a program called Gator Engineering at Santa Fe, and plan on transitioning fully to UF by the start of second semester, rather than having to wait for the traditional 2-year transfer program. Outside of that I love to work on little side projects like this site, play video games, get on my racing simulator, go to the gym, and hang out with friends!

Growing up, I have always loved video games, and around the time when I turned 11, I wanted to get into PC gaming. So I went to my brother for help, and he helped me choose parts, and I saved for about a year to finally get one, and with his help we built it. As the years progressed, my love for computers stayed, and I eventually got a new PC and built that one by myself. The intricacy that a computer presents is so fascinating that when it came time to choose a major, I knew which one to choose (especially with the countless opportunities AI has presented). And with the internship I did over the summer of 2026 and these little side projects, I knew my choice was the right one.

Mostly hang out with friends, go to the gym, work on projects like this website, race on my simulator, play video games, and travel.

Honestly, I don't know yet. I really hope I've been able to create something great with whatever skills I've learned and been developing. Hopefully something entrepreneurial, but I do want to hopefully make it to a big-name internship like Nvidia, Apple, Google, OpenAI, etc. That would be a dream come true, but I know how competitive they are, so all I can really do is just take every opportunity I get to learn.

Whatever small projects I can think of and have the urge to build. This site is a great example, though, as something I will continue working on for these next few years as I document what I am able to accomplish. I do hope to maybe get into vibe coding games and seeing what I could do, but that's something for another time.

A large amount of luck, proof of being a hard worker, and initiative to learn and work hard. Many personal things had happened around this time, and as a result of this, I reached out and was very nicely offered to intern. Obviously, if you have a lot of experience from maybe prior internships or other activities, it looks good, but presentation of oneself I found was very important when trying to obtain something that is considered exclusive or rare for someone entering their first year of college.

Mostly self-taught by using YouTube, AI, TikTok, and other social media platforms. Find cool creators or pages that can teach you things you want to learn, or even just go into an AI like Claude and ask how to get started, and it provides great tips!

Either a Publix Chicken Tender Sub with Munster cheese, shredded lettuce, toasted, and tossed in Buffalo sauce, or Carne Asada Fries from any local Mexican restaurant.

PC, no questions asked, they can be used for more than gaming, and I don't need to pay to play online. Though I did buy a PS5 to play GTA 6 on launch :p

Normally I'd say neither, but I'm currently running off a White Monster Energy, so I'll go energy drinks. Though I rarely drink either one since I don't like coffee, and energy drinks just aren't good for you.
